LeadCrawlr ("we", "us", "the extension") is a Chrome extension and companion website (leadcrawlr.com) that helps users identify business leads on Google Maps. This policy explains what data is involved when you use LeadCrawlr, and how it is handled.
LeadCrawlr is designed to keep as much data as possible on your own device:
When you purchase LeadCrawlr, your payment and license key are processed and issued by Gumroad, Inc., our payment provider. Gumroad collects your email address and payment details in order to complete the transaction and issue your license.
We recommend reviewing Gumroad's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your payment and account data.
Your license key is stored locally in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) so the extension can verify your subscription. This key is periodically checked against Gumroad's license verification API directly from your browser — it does not pass through any server we operate.
Our website (leadcrawlr.com) is hosted on Cloudflare, which may collect standard, anonymized technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance purposes, as is standard for any website. We do not use this data for tracking or advertising, and we do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies on the site.
If you contact us at hello@leadcrawlr.com, we will use your email address only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list without your consent.
Where data protection law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) applies, we and our payment provider process the limited personal data involved on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (issuing and verifying your license so you can use the Service you paid for); legitimate interests (basic website security and responding to your support requests); and consent, where you have voluntarily contacted us. Since scan data never reaches us, no legal basis is required on our side for that data.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data — including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port it, and to object to certain processing. These rights apply, for example, to users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom (under GDPR) and to residents of California (under the CCPA), among others.
Because we do not operate our own customer database, most of your personal data (your email and payment details) is held by Gumroad. You can exercise your rights directly with Gumroad, or contact us at hello@leadcrawlr.com and we will assist in forwarding your request. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
LeadCrawlr is available worldwide. Our service providers (such as Gumroad and Cloudflare) may process and store data on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required by law, these providers rely on recognized safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers. By using the Service, you understand that your limited purchase and license data may be processed in these locations.
Our website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a minimal, strictly necessary cookie for security and performance. The extension itself uses only your browser's local extension storage to remember your license key on your own device — this is never transmitted to us.
We keep our footprint deliberately small: because scan results and business data never reach our servers, that data cannot be exposed by us. The limited data that does exist (your email and payment details) is protected by our payment provider Gumroad under their own security measures. Our website is served over HTTPS via Cloudflare.
LeadCrawlr is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, please contact us so we can address it.
We do not retain any scan data, as it never reaches us. Support emails are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry. Purchase and license records are retained by Gumroad according to their own retention policies and applicable tax/accounting law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
